Infinitevania Arenas & Bestiary
Two Steam completion tracks that reward deliberate combat—not blind grinding.
Two Steam achievements sit beside the collectible sweep: complete every arena, and complete the bestiary. Neither should hijack your first clear of Tenroh, but both become natural mid-to-late goals once Nilbog, spirits, and fast travel exist. This guide keeps those tracks honest.
Arenas: treat them like mini-boss exams
Arenas ask for clear-focused loadouts more than exploration kits. Before you enter:
- Spend souls at Nilbog on survivability passives.
- Equip spirits that handle multi-target pressure—compare the spirits tier list.
- Warm up with the same discipline you use for Queen Wasps: short commits, clean exits.
If an arena stalls you three times on the same wave, leave. Farm a safer room, buy one more passive, or swap a spirit role. Infinitevania rewards adaptation more than pride.
Bestiary: stop sprinting past new silhouettes
Bestiary completion fails when you treat trash rooms as pure transit. When a new enemy type appears:
- Fight one intentionally instead of dash-cancelling past it.
- Note whether it is a pogo tool, a projectile tutor, or a hazard carrier.
- Mark progress in the completion checklist.
Late-game bestiary hunts are miserable. Early curiosity is free.
How arenas and bestiary link to 100%
Arenas feed combat literacy that makes Galegrim and Etrom cleaner. Bestiary entries often sit on the same paths as secret walls and diaries. Chain them: clear a biome’s new enemies, tap suspicious walls, then decide whether an arena door is today’s exam.
Suggested timing
- Early: ignore optional arenas unless they sit on the critical path.
- Mid: after free Nilbog and first spirit slots, clear nearby arenas between boss attempts.
- Late: use fast travel for leftover arenas and missing bestiary entries before Ending 2 / Core pushes.
Related skill feats
Movement achievements (back dash chains, pogo chains) live on achievement challenges. Shop completion and object destruction sit there too. Do not confuse arena clears with the Elder timed fight—different exams, different prep.
Mindset
Arenas and bestiary are seasoning. If they spike stress, park them and return to map collectible routes. Infinitevania’s best campaigns still look like explore → shop → boss → backtrack—with arenas as optional spice when your hands feel sharp.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Are arenas required for Ending 1?
Treat them as optional combat exams unless your personal route puts one on the critical path. Ending goals are covered in endings explained.
When should I finish the bestiary?
Record new enemies as you meet them. Save a cleanup lap after fast travel instead of a panicked endgame hunt.
What loadout works for arenas?
Survivability from Nilbog plus multi-target spirits. Revisit recommended builds if waves overwhelm you.
